Checks

With many different types of checks used on clothes, I guarantee there is something checked in your wardrobe. The most commonly known ones we hear of are plaid (tartan), gingham and houndstooth. Autumn/Winter16 shows were flooded with checks, showing us a definite trend for this season. Just like the other trends from my last posts, checks can also be worn year after year, making it timeless. (All images below from Pinterest)

Whether it's a coloured check or monochrome, why not try mixing it up with your everyday wardrobe. A plaid shirt is a must in any wardrobe, something to wear over jeans for a casual Sunday or tie around a pair of denim shorts or slip dress. Here are a few of my favourite high street finds. I may have bought the below dress (price was too good), will see what that looks like on. The checked trousers and skirt below will look great paired with a chunky knit jumper for winter.
