Out Out

It's been ages since I went 'out out', but a few people asked for a Top 5 on outfits to wear out to a bar/club. I'm probably the wrong person to ask, but I have put together some of the things I would wear if I did head out.

I would easily wear this outfit again during the day with a pair of flats, love a shirt or frilly top with jeans and heels.

White top, Green shirt, Shorts, Sandals

A dressed up look but showing less skin.

Top, Jeans, Sandals

This summer buy yourself a cami dress, pair it with a leather jacket and some heels for an evening look. Works great during the day with a denim jacket and sandals.

Dress, Shoes

A selection of dresses for the evening below, perfectly paired with heels.

Denim dress, Tiger print dress, White dress,
Floral dress, Playsuit, sandals

Hope this has given you some ideas, thanks for reading!

Marks and Spencers Edit

There is no doubt Marks and Spencer has become an even more popular place to shop over the last few years...and I'm not just talking about the food hall. I shop there for my boys and myself, even my husband goes there. Actually, all my husband's Pyjamas are from there thanks to my mum being his secret Santa, EVERY YEAR! He loves them and my mum has been an avid fan since day one.
There is something for everyone, anyway, I won't go on and on, I'll just show you my favourites from the women's department.

Each outfit has a wardrobe essential, first up is the Denim jacket outfit: Wear the jacket over any of the below outfits I've put together.

Dress, Jacket, Glasses, Bag, Trainers

Jeans outfit: I have the rust coloured embroidered frill top which I love, this green one is equally beautiful. Wear the top with shorts for the summer.

Top, Bra, Jeans, Sandals

Jumpsuit outfit: I have the below jumpsuit and I can confirm it's comfortable, wore it with the leopard sandals mentioned below. It will also look great with heels and a leather jacket.

Jumpsuit, Heels, Bag, Sandals

The leather skirt/white tee outfit: Love this outfit, an effortless casual evening outfit, but equally works well with trainers during the day. Mix and match and wear the blazer and t-shirt over jeans.

Blazer, T-shirt, Skirt, Trainers, Shoes

M&S has a wide selection of some great wardrobe staples, from t-shirts starting at £4.50 to trench coats like the below. I would usually size up on their t-shirts for a looser fit, but it all depends on how you like to wear yours. Below are some of my other favourites.

T-shirt, Coat, Top
Necklace, Sandals, Shirt (alternative Shirt)

Jeans Edit

Jean's post is always a popular request for me, I posted my favourite styles here if you need inspiration. My go-to style is usually the straight leg, high waisted jeans. I find these easy to wear for every day and dressed up.

I usually shop in Topshop for my jeans, the jeans I have, have lasted me years (I'm referring to the Orson and Moto styles). I recently bought a pair of jeans from Zara, always worth looking there too. H&M is tricky for me, I love their styles but never 100% great on me.

Straight/Slim Leg Jeans:
Topshop always does some great jeans in this style, however, they do go pretty quick and most of the time the style never comes back. Straight leg jeans work well with ankle boots, trainers and heels.

Top L-R: Topshop, Topshop, Levis,
Bottom L-R: TopshopWeekday, Topshop,

Mom Jeans:
Mom jeans are mainly high waisted and have a tapered leg. Although it's a more relaxed jeans style, these look perfect with heels as well as trainers for an everyday look.

Top L-R: Topshop, Mango, Mango,
Bottom L-R: Zara, H&M, New Look

Other styles:
If you have the basic everyday style of jeans in your wardrobe, why not try other styles. Maybe try coloured jeans or even white? The belted Mango jeans are a similar alternative to smart jeans. Or how about a pair of cropped flared jeans, the below Weekday pair look perfect with heels but team it up with flats for a casual look. And lastly, have you heard of the barrel style jeans like the Whistles one below, more relaxed but again can be dressed up too.

Top L-R: M&S, River Island, Mango, COS,
Bottom L-R: Mango, Topshop, Weekday, Whistles

I hope this has given you many options, jeans can be hard to shop for, it can be frustrating when it doesn't fit but don't give up, many high street stores do fab good quality jeans now.

Wedding Guest Dresses

I received a few requests to do a post on wedding guest dresses, so here it is! These dresses could easily be dressed down too, I always try and look for dresses that can be worn casually as I like to make more wear out of them.

I feel these days you don't necessarily need to buy the wedding dresses everyone traditionally used to wear, usually those lace ones or those on the occasion dress section. I'm loving all the below dresses, lovely prints, colour and style. I've added some sandals below to go with the dresses, as well as jackets and trainers which you could wear with the dress after.

1. Red Leopard pleated dress
2. Polka dot dress (Click here to see how it looks on)
3. Embroidery midi dress
4. Yellow wrap dress (sale)
5. Knot front zebra print dress
6. Ruffled linen wrap dress
7. Gingham print dress

1. Oversized denim jacket
2. Khaki jacket
3. Red Sandals
4. Beige sandals
5. Knot sandals
6. Black sandals
7. Converse trainers
8. Veja trainers

Thank you for reading and I hope this helped a little.

Slogans

All images from Pinterest

Hi everyone, hope everyone had a lovely February, it went too quick and I can't believe it's March already. March is always an expensive month for us, a couple of family birthday celebrations including my eldest son and Mothers Day too. Also, I need to avoid the shops as Spring officially starts in March and there will be a lot of lovely new clothes!

I'm starting this month with slogan tops, slogan tops have become an essential in my wardrobe now. I love my plain t-shirts and simple grey sweatshirts, but add some writing, motif or design on it and I'm all over it, obviously depending on what it says.

I've put together some outfits below that go well with some casual slogan tops.
I have the below skirt already and love it, great print and colour and will take me into summer then Winter. I've teamed it up below with a bright red jumper and black trainers for a stand out outfit.

Jumper, Skirt, Bracelet, Trainers

I love sweatshirts tucked into smart trousers, a casual look but put together and a little smarter. Add a patterned bag to a simple outfit like this bag from New Look, love the checked pattern.

Jumper, Trousers, Bag, Shoes

Looking forward to t-shirt weather again, team it up with trousers instead of jeans for a perfect everyday look that can change into evening wear.

Top, Trousers, Bag, Trainers

If you prefer jeans and a tee, add heels and a smart blazer for a more dressed up look. This oversized blazer looks perfect!

Top, Jeans, Blazer, Shoes

Lastly a casual look, something I would wear for the school run or at the weekend.

Jumper, Jeans, Trainers, Glasses

Hope you've enjoyed some of these looks, a slogan can look great on anything! Thank you for reading.

Easy Everyday Outfits

Hi everyone, hope all is well and I hope January has kicked off to a good year already. We're slowly settling into our new house and finally getting to the last bits of unpacking. It's also given me the chance to get rid of unwanted clothes and junk that I have had around from the previous place. It feels a lot better after decluttering everything.

It's been a while with fashion blogging, but really want to get back into my usual posts. My first post of the year is on everyday outfits that can be copied hopefully from what you have in your wardrobe. Whether it's for the school run or a casual day at work, here are some outfits that are easy to put together this winter.

Jeans look: This is the easiest to dress as anything goes and any footwear goes too.  I love my jeans, it's an everyday essential for me (I did a post here on my favourite styles).

Jeans, Coat, Jumper, Trainers

Midi Skirt looks: Besides jeans, I love a midi skirt, more so than any skirt shape. I think it's flattering and looks good dressed down or up. Out of all the skirts, I would say invest in a pleated skirt as it never goes out of style, I own a few and have worn my black pleated M&S one loads!

Shirt, Coat, Skirt, Boots

The dress looks: I always say make use of your dresses from summer, team it with a chunky knit or cardigan, a big coat and boots for a winter look.

Dress, Cardigan, Boots, Earrings

Trouser looks: Trousers are great alternatives if you get tired of wearing jeans, you can get many different textures that will still keep you warm, like the one below.

Jumper, Bag, Trousers, Trainers

Joggers look: Joggers are my favourite, comfortable and stylish depending how you wear yours. Make sure the joggers fit right on you and team them up with a nice jumper and trainers.

Joggers, T-shirt, Coat, Trainers

Hope this has helped a little, thanks for reading!
